The science beneath the surface

The science beneath the surface

Fraxel creates precise microscopic treatment zones beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen remodelling and gradual skin renewal, while leaving surrounding tissue intact to support recovery.

The industry reference for resurfacing

Backed by studies. Chosen for results.

Fraxel became the reference point for modern resurfacing through the kind of visible renewal patients and practitioners continue coming back to year after year.
Fraxel
Fraxel treatment

Its reputation comes from visible change people can recognise: smoother texture, softer scars, brighter tone and healthier-looking skin long after treatment day.

Because genuine skin renewal never goes out of style.

Real precision, layer by layer

Fraxel changed the direction of skin resurfacing when it introduced fractional laser technology, and years later it still gets results you can see and feel.

Created to address pigmentation, texture, scarring and signs of sun damage, Fraxel works beneath the surface to trigger renewal where visible correction begins.

For practitioners, it’s technology they know deeply and continue coming back to. For patients, it’s often the moment surface-level skincare stops feeling like enough and real change begins.

Because the most meaningful skin changes rarely happen instantly. They rebuild gradually, layer by layer.

FRAXEL EXPLAINED

How does a Fraxel Laser treatment work?

Fraxel treatment targets ageing and sun-damaged skin using microscopic laser columns that penetrate beneath the skin’s surface to support collagen remodelling. Because only a fraction of tissue is treated at a time, surrounding skin remains intact to support rapid healing. Over a series of treatments, Fraxel helps resurface skin from the inside out.

Results can vary depending on your skin condition and how you care for your skin afterward. Your practitioner will provide guidance based on your individual treatment plan and skincare needs.
Most patients describe an increased sensation of heat during the treatment. To minimise discomfort, topical anesthetic ointment is applied before the procedure, and cold air is used on the treatment area during the procedure. Post-treatment, patients often describe a sunburn-like sensation that typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours.
Based on clinical studies, an effective treatment regimen typically consists of an average of 5 sessions, with each session spaced approximately 2 to 4 weeks apart. Depending on your condition and schedule, you and the practitioner may choose to space treatment sessions further apart. Results are gradual and progressive, with optimal improvement often visible within 2–3 months. This time frame and treatment structure allow for healing and the production of new collagen to replace damaged tissue.

First, your skin will be cleansed. Then, about 60 minutes prior to treatment, a topical anesthetic ointment will be applied to the treatment area. The procedure takes between 20 to 25 minutes for a full face*
